There are a few things that turn my head. Boys on surfboards, expensive shoes, nail polish and cars. Well, cars turn my head more than the others. My husband and I take photos of cars to show each other and Instagram for our social media networks. To say they are an obsession is an understatement.
I was recently invited by the Clever Girls Collective to become member of Toyota’s Women’s Influencer Network (TWIN). (Why yes, I am going to thank the Academy as I accept my award.) For me, the car obsessed, it was and is still an honor and I might pinch myself daily (heh).
TWIN = WIN
Now, in full disclosure, I don’t own a Toyota. We have one more year before we buy a new car and when I bought the car I’m driving now, the Prius wasn’t available. Since we were mid-way through our financing when the Prius came out, my husband dug his heels in when I brought up a trade. Believe me, I’m persistent. I brought the idea of trading up a lot.
Yet, I’ve never thought about not buying a Toyota car. My inclusion in TWIN and learning more and more about Toyota cars, the company, and their commitment to customer satisfaction, has been key in my thinking regarding our next vehicle. And since I’m the primary decision maker, I research for up to a year before we step foot on a car lot.
Don’t get me wrong, Toyota cars have had some hiccups along the way. Every car manufacturer has those. I’ve been through recalls. They are a fact of car ownership. It’s been nice to see the Toyota commitment to safety, communication and sharing with their customers (and potential customers) about the changes the company has made.
Plus, they’ve made some catchy videos. If you’ve ever gotten the Swagger Wagon tune stuck in your head, then you know what I’m talking about.
Finding out the new Prius v has about the same amount of room as a small SUV and a moon roof? Let’s just say this blog post isn’t just about talking about Toyota cars. I’m dropping hints. Size wise, it’s perfect for me and my family, and will haul what we need when taking short or long jaunts.
So, sing along with Fabienne Desol and “Come Along”. Join me on my Toyota car #TWIN Journey. It’s going to be an amazing ride.
