It’s been a while since I’ve shared my Tuesday Tunes. Where we go out, share what we’re listening to or that one song that’s stuck in our head.
Lately, I’ve been listening to a lot of Journey. Melodic rock created by amazing musicians and vocalists. What Journey song has been stuck in my head? “Feeling That Way.” One I feel is truly an under appreciated song, and quite possibly their best. It features their original lead singer Gregg Rolie and Steve Perry sharing vocal duties. What? Steve Perry wasn’t the original vocalist? Nope. Rolie sang solo lead on Journey’s first two albums, shared duties with guitarist Neil Schon on numbers two and three and finally with Steve Perry on albums four through six.
Here’s my favorite Journey song. Yes, it’s even better than “Don’t Stop Believin.”
The beer can on the piano and the polyester white bell-bottoms give it that bit of je nais se quoi don’t you think?
