I love vintage images, furniture, clothing, advertising, etc., from the 1930’s-1950’s. I can spend hours poring over images of this time (and earlier) when I’m out antiquing, in a great library, or museum. As someone who studied photography for four years, I’m fascinated by the stories old photographs tell. Lately, I’ve been obsessing over vintage bathing pajamas (so chic!) and photos of classic beach clubs. Gone are the day of quiet elegance, replaced with all-inclusive resorts that… well, aren’t beach clubs. I know there are problems no matter what era we live in, but that time just seemed so much more civilized, even if it wasn’t.

Today I’m sharing some of my favorite things with a little help from Pinterest. After all, this modern world gives me the opportunity to step back in time whenever I want.
