This is what I am sending my Valentines Cards on! These adorably cute Valentines Day Cards from Buttoned Up. I have card stock and can print, cut, sign.

My son has bought Valentines. He’s at the age where making them is considered to be quite lame in his book. Well, he will get over it, cause this Mom will still have fun cards that can’t be bought in a store!

I think there will also be some renegade kindness! You never know where I will stick these to brighten someones day. I need to carry my camera with me so that I can take photos of all of the places I stick them.

Hide and Seek

It’s been a week of what feels like hide and seek. Snowy/icy weather, stomach viruses, bad back, general malaise/funk.

This week, I have truly been thinking about happiness, about what makes me happy. My husband and son make me happy, writing makes me happy, connecting people, helping others, supporting my friends, taking care of lost souls, but what do I do for me that makes me happy.

Good question.

So, I am soul searching and blogging. Trying to find more of my self-prescribed happiness project. Just like the one I wrote about over at Savvy Source about “Cottage Bliss”. Those words rang true, but now I need to adjust and I need to do things that aren’t work/career related. I need to be…me. Problem is, at this stage in my life, I have no idea who me is.

In the words of the Grateful Dead “What a long strange trip it’s been”…and it’s not over, yet.

Spring Cleaning…in January?!?!

I am thinking about spring cleaning this week. Now, before you look at me that way, know that I am not losing my mind.  Rather, I am starting with a fresh plate. At least, that is what I feel like.

Why do we wait till March? People used to wait until it warmed up because it was easier to get the dust out of their homes. The wind would blow it out. For others, it’s a time of shaking off the winter blahs and welcoming the warm days of spring and summer.

For me?

It’s clearing out all of the things that really weighed on me in 2009.

The way I see it, I need a totally fresh start. It’s a new year. So, instead of waiting to spring to cut the crap and clear the clutter, I will do it now. Actually, I have already been doing. Reorganizing. Getting rid of things that don’t love me and that I no longer love. Purging my home feels good. The air moves a little better through it, the energy is charged and positive.

It makes me happy.
