There are days I’m asked how I do it all and stay sane. Do you really want to know my secret? I’m a gamer. Not a hardcore gamer, but gamer nonetheless. At night, I curl up on my sofa with a cup of tea, my wireless Xbox controller and a game of my choosing.
Did I mention they normally involve me blowing something up? Hi. My name is Lisa and I like to blow things up to clear my head. The great thing about gaming for me is that my brain shuts off and I can let go of my day so I sleep better. (I also meditate afterwards — but that’s another post for another day.)
Lately, I’ve been playing Assassin’s Creed. (Yes, I do have a minor in the house and no, he’s not allowed to play this game.)
It’s role playing going back to 1775 — only very realistic. The American colonies are about to revolt and you’re sworn to secure liberty for my people and nation. It involves hunting your enemies across a staggeringly large, open, and realistic world. Your skills are lethal and you meet legendary heroes of American history, and together you will conspire to annihilate those who threaten Liberty itself.
Email fatigue has nothing on me when I’m done playing after about 30 minutes.
