The last two weeks have been interesting to say the least. Winter is in full swing here in NC and nothing says panic like the chance of bad weather. The grocery stores are packed, people are driving like maniacs and the local news can at times make you feel like it’s the storm of the century.
While were home due to our roads being a solid sheet of ice for about 24 hours, my son decided that it would be the best time for the stomach virus making the rounds at school to rear it’s ugly head. That’s always a fun time *insert sarcasm* and honestly, I was happy that we missed two days of school. He was just worn out from it, luckily he only threw up twice.
Finally, I have sciatica. I didn’t have it while I was pregnant, but now it hits me. Right when I am increasing my activity levels. Well, not even increasing them. I am trying to get more packed into a smaller pace. Good for my heart, good for my stress levels, just plain good for me. However, old age is kicking in…
Ok, that’s a lie. I bought a new desk and in the process of moving it did something wonky and so now when I walk for about .5 miles, the lower left side of my back goes numb. Totally numb. It stops when I sit down. So, I have now have to take prednisone to help clear up the inflammation. Fun times. I am not looking forward to the insomnia that comes with it, nor the other ways it makes you feel. But, a woman has to do what a woman has to do.
So, that’s where things are. Ultra busy week coming up, so I have to get blogging!
