I’m a FitFluential Ambassador? Come again. Yes, I’m a FitFluential Ambassador. I realize I’m not the typical ambassador most people would find associated with a fitness brand. However, after talking many hours to various people in the network, I’ve realized they are a good fit for me.
FitFluential delivers positive messages of health and wellness, while promoting maintaining a healthy balance with their Ambassadors. Too often, people view fitness messaging as restrictive and harsh. FitFluential showcases how anyone can incorporate habits that will improve their overall health and well-being.
You see. Now that I’m 40, there are things I want to do with my life. One is get my “self” back. Not that I really know what that means, but what it does mean is I’m ready to be more fit.
When I say I’m ready to be more fit, I’m not going to be “skinny” and this isn’t what this is about. It’s about health and finding my way to a healthier life by making good choices and doing what’s best for me and my body.
I want people to look at me and not think “she’s a poor tired fat slob” but I want them to see a woman brimming with vitality, no matter what size she is. This isnt’ going to turn into a “these are my measurements” and I ate this or that, a perfect number on the scale isn’t what I’m after.
Plain and simple, I just want to be able to bound up my steps again and grin at people. I want to chase my son down the street and giggle doing it. Sure, losing weight comes with fitness when you have weight to lose. But this is more about my waistline. It’s about my cardiovascular system and every system I have running through my body and keeping them in tip top shape.
The hair on my head may be graying, but I don’t want my skin to have the same appearance.
It’s about life. It’s about vitaility. It’s about me adding time into my day to take care of me and be healthier.
I can’t wait.
I’m becoming FitFluential and I love it.
