Most people who feel bookish are sitting down to read. Not this gal. I started the serious work on the book I’m writing last night. Yep, I’m writing a book. Which means I’m excited, nauseated, scared, jumpy — there are so many adverbs to describe how I feel that if I tried to write them all down here, you’d want to smack me.
While I’m not going to go into my detail, I will tell you it’s actually a non-fiction series. Originally, it was one book. However, after a long conversation with my good friend, Tracy Beckerman, it was time to turn it into a series. Well, she looked at me and pretty much told me if I didn’t do it as a series I’d lost my mind, and I’m pretty sure there was something in there about her kicking me in the rear. (She would, while wearing her pointy little high heels.)
What does that mean for A Daily Pinch? I’m still here. I’ll be writing and getting back into the flow of things — back to basics. While I’ll still do a few things that pay for my hosting, you’ll always know by my letting you know this post was sponsored — and those will be far and few and will only be done if I truly believe in the product/company. And if I’m writing about something I just want to write about, like the opera (yes, I’m an opera nerd), food, house, clothes, crafty, etc., stuff, then you know it’s because I have something to say — especially since we’re looking at building a house this year (Hold me, please).
I’m a writer. While a lot of folks don’t care for my style of writing, it’s what I do, and I love it. I love how it makes me feel and how it makes others who like my voice feel. I’m also a Southern woman. We never stop talking. (Ever.) That flows over into our writing. Even though this won’t be the longest post in the world, it’s still me thinking via my fingertips.
And I love sharing with you. Thanks for being here and still reading. You’ve seen me through a lot in the past 5 years, and I’m more appreciative thank you’ll ever know. Thanks for sticking around.
