Contemporary Cuckoo Clocks by Stefan Strumbel
Dezeen

With themes ranging from violence, to death and even sex, these extreme cuckoo clocks by German artist Stefan Strumbel play with the idea of a modern Germany and Bavarian cool and kitsch.

These are fun but I’d like them better without the pop-punk cartoon skull and crossbones.

I’m all for color and I’m not opposed to redesigning classic pieces, but I have to admit these are the ugliest cuckoo clocks I’ve ever seen.

While traditional Cuckoo clocks are not my thing, this one, by Stefan Strumbel, could fit the bill quite nicely. It’s fun, edgy and girly all at the same time. Plus, the kitsch factor is off the charts!
