Bloomingdales is giving pink this year. From October 1 through November 3, 2013, you can enroll in their Give Pink campaign by charging a $15 fee on your Bloomingdales card. 100% of this enrollment fee goes to research, support and awareness programs at The Breast Cancer Research Foundation, The Tutu Project benefiting the Carey Foundation and The Cancer Vixen Fund at Beth Israel Hospital. Additionally, you receive a bonus in the form of a gift cards on any purchases made on your Bloomies card through November 3rd. (After the period has ended.)
This type of program is not unfamiliar to me and that’s one of the reasons I’m sharing it here. As a long time supporter of the Breast Cancer Research Foundation, and having personally participated in similar programs in the past, I can get behind this. 100% of the proceeds is going to different projects I’ve checked out in detail, or have worked with, and as an added bonus, if you do use your Bloomingdales card after making your donation to the Give Pink campaign, you’re going to get back a portion of your purchases in the form of a Bloomingdales card.
Disclosure: I did receive a Bloomingdales gift card that helped facilitate this post, however I stand by the BCRF and its mission.
