Last week, I was invited to visit the US headquarters of Toyota in Torrance, California. What an eye opening experience. Not only did I learn about the cars, but Toyota shared their company background intimately with us. We learned about their work process, company history, Entune technology, collaborative research, their philanthropic commitments (national and local), as well as the process of how the cars are manufactured, from concept to rolling them out on to the lot.
Needless to say, it was a lot to take in, which is why I’m sharing in parts today.
After arriving in L.A. Wednesday morning, I was picked up in a Toyota Sienna mini-van and driven to my hotel in Hermosa Beach. For someone who loves to surf, the location was certainly ideal. When we travel as a blogger, our trips are very rushed and the accommodations forced me to slow down a little bit and just breath the salt air.
It was nice be able to take a walk over to the Pier, grab lunch, and enjoy the sunshine and brisk weather after my long flight. However, it was much cooler than I had anticipated and being exhausted, chose to head back to my room for a little R&R.
Beach House Hermosa Beach didn’t disappoint men. I went to my room, ordered 3 liter-sized bottles of water from room service, a plate of lemons and relaxed. Knowing we had dinner out later that night with Toyota, the Clever Girls Collective, and Saatchi & Saathch L.A. called for a refreshed Lisa.
I’m going to share some photos of my trip, so you can get an idea of how lovely the folks at Toyota treated the TWIN members. It was a lovely room for us to have a much needed reprieve from our activities.
